Happy Easter everyone! We hope you had a very fun and meaningful Easter weekend. Ours was amazing. The weather was gorgeous and Dane had fun coloring and hunting for Easter eggs. I absolutely LOVE holidays and this is becoming one of my favorites. There's just something about seeing traditions through your child's eyes that brings so much joy. Of course, the real meaning of Easter was not forgotten and we enjoyed worshiping on Sunday morning. We are so blessed to have Jesus as our Savior!!
This was Dane's first year coloring eggs and he LOVED it. He was mesmorized at the sleeves melting around the eggs and was eager to dip the eggs into the dye. It was messy but worth it!
We headed to our good friends', the Schoeneberger's, house (yes...someone else has a last name longer than ours!) for the annual egg hunt. It was beautiful. We were so thankful Easter was in April this year!
Here are the kiddos trying so hard to pose for a picture.
And here is Dane retrieving a fascinating water bottle.
He picked up some rocks along the way but did not put them in his basket. Good job Dane!
At the end of the hunt, everyone empties their eggs to reuse them the next year. Dane found a bag with tons of empty eggs and proceeded to open them looking for goodies. He was adamant about opening them all...even though we told him they were empty. I think he found 2 leftover jelly beans in one!
A much needed family photo! Probably one of our last as a family of 3.
Kelly and I comparing bellies. We are about 3 weeks apart!
Colleen (38.5 weeks), me (32.5 weeks) and Kelly (30 weeks).
This is a rare picture of me with my brother Tom (isn't he handsome??). He spent the weekend with us, which was such a treat for us. Dane absolutely loved it because Tom is a guitar player. In fact, Dane now calls Daddy's guitar Tommy's guitar because he played it so much while he was here. It was awesome to hear all the good music.
That's it for now. Enjoy your week!!
