We were so blessed to return to Ely, MN for the 4th of July. It's one of our favorite places. It just feels so good. We stay with great friends, take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy lots of fun activities. We went to the local parade again this year and had a blast. And we had it down this year. We arrived early, saved our spot on the parade route, tackled the saw dust pile, ate lunch, watched the parade and then made it home before naps (and a gigantic, boat flipping & tree breaking, storm arrived).
Ready for the parade!
Come on kids, get silly!
Biggest smile in town.
Melt my heart.
Martha leading the Young Life saw dust pile. Go Martha!!
Of course, Dane
He found seven quarters this year, and he was very protective of each one.
D and Grace. Such great buds!!
Melt my heart again.
Boys, boys, boys.
Jen & Annie. So beautiful!
Borrowing my sunnies and placing them just so.
Our favorite Lawn Chair Drill Team was back!!
With a GUY on the squad this year.
Nugget loved all the action. Can you tell his right eye is half closed?
He was bitten by a mosquito and the bottom of his eye swelled up :-(.
Until next year... :-)
