Christmas Eve Snowman

We live in a snow globe! At least that's how it feels lately. With all the snow we've been getting, Dane had been asking me to make a snowman for weeks, and I kept telling him, "Mommy doesn't have any snow pants that fit, so you have to wait for a weekend when daddy is home." Sounds easy enough, but most of the weekends in December were COLD. Finally, on Christmas Eve day, it wasn't too cold and daddy was home, so Dane got to make his very first snowman!!

Step 1: Capture a cute picture of the boys in the snow!
Step 2: Spray the snow to make it stick. Unfortunately, the latest snowfall had been really fluffy and not at all sticky. But a little water made it stick okay...they couldn't roll the snow into balls but at least it stayed in a mound. It would just be a blob snowman :-)
Step 3: Decorate the snowman with creative items. Clementines for the eyes, a carrot for the nose, sticks for the mouth and arms.
Step 4: Capture the finished product! Love the smiles on these two!
Yay! We are proud to say this was the only snowman on Alvarado Lane during the holidays. Dane named him Max. He also named our minivan Max...it is a favorite name for some reason.
I had to include this picture because you can see Matt snow blowing behind the giant mound of snow in our front yard. The funny part is that our Honda Accord is parked behind the mound of snow, but you can't see it at all. Seriously, SO MUCH SNOW!!!!
