Enlightenment!

One of the most incredible parts of being a parent is watching your child learn. Actually witnessing Dane learn about his world is truly fascinating. We experienced it the other day while Dane was taking a bath. I turned on the faucet and the stream of water caught his eye. All of his attention quickly turned to something that he could see but did not totally understand. Then the process of learning began!!!

This picture was taken early, soon after he had discovered this new thing. The expression on his face is one of pure curiosity.

"It looks like a solid object...maybe I can grab it?" The confusion really set in when his hand slid right through.

"Ok, so maybe I need to try this with both hands!" Same result. He just couldn't seem to hang on to that water.

"I know...I'll try and eat it!" Ahhh, the staple of baby experimentation. After a few failed attempts, something else caught his eye and his path to enlightenment continued. It was so fun watching Dane's go through the learning process. Can't wait for the next episode. Just hope I have the camera to document it.
